The first day of preseason is like Christmas. You wait and wait and count down the days and can hardly sleep the night before, and then Wham! It's over and you can hardly believe it happened so fast.
The first day of preseason has come and gone. Day 3 is in fact on the horizon and we are just getting our first Fall blog post up now. For those of you who are new to the blog, welcome! For those of you who are frequent readers, We're back! And for those of you who have us set as your homepage, Thank you.
It won't be too long now before you'll be seeing pictures of California and reading about the Sweet Onion Classic, which is less than two weeks away. But until then, I'll put up a couple pictures of our preseason hike. We headed out of town a ways, towards Pike's Peak, and climbed the grade. We actually crossed the border into Oregon to help Hannah feel a little closer to home. There were no bear sightings this year (there weren't any last year either, but here's to hoping...); however, it is the middle of harvest so the wheat farmers and combines created a picturesque backdrop on the horizon. We had had a thunder storm in the night, so the 7am weather was perfectly cool. Minus a scraped knee, everyone came back down the mountain refreshed and ready to hit the gym (floor that is :)
We are in between sessions, getting ready to suit back up again in less than an hour, but in the meantime, we want all our long-distance fans to know that we love you and miss you!!
Post-Hike (can you see the sweat?!)
