Alex Graves, our graduating all-region outside hitter just found out she was nominated and accepted to become an associate member of a scientific research society called Sigma Xi. Sigma Xi is a national organization to promote research in all disciplines of science. The most current notorious member of this prestigious organization is John Holdren, President Obama's Science Advisor. Congratulations, Alex!!
Hannah Holloran was elected as Sophomore Senator into the Associated Students of Whitman College as voted on by her peers. Taking a step beyond her service on SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) in 2009-10, her new role for 2010-11 provides a direct representation for student-athletes interests on campus. A seat in the ASWC senate is mere footsteps away from the Hill. Congratulations, Hannah!!
No one exemplifies the term Student-Athlete better than our Whitman volleyball women.
