Got it done again...oh yeah!

We battled it out Saturday night with a good Willamette team and beat them in the 5th set 15-11!  We talked as a team prior to the match about the hard work of putting together two back-to-back performances good enough to secure wins, and how we would not win the same way in which we won on Friday.  We would string together our strengths in a slightly different way.  Alas, different players stepped-up, in key ways, and showing the character of a strong team, we found another road to victory.  This road was paved with four separate players getting double digit kills; Corie, Jillian, Olivia and Carrie Rachel C spread the offense around, keeping the Willamette defense on their toes all night.  Becca and Hannah anchored our defense with 16 and 14 digs respectively.  The team had to really work against a strong Willamette defense that forced us to pick-up our game, cover our hitters and keep them swinging till we found a way to score.  That effort strengthened as the match wore on.  Our block did a fantastic job---touching nearly everything coming across the net, slowing things down and making our defender's jobs a little easier!  We have a LOT of work to do getting ready for our next two opponents at home.  Looking for another way to put a "W" on the scoreboard.
